Sacré-Coeur Basilica is situated on the hill of Montmartre, the highest hill in Paris.
You’ve probably seen it from all across Paris. Its style was inspired by such models as Saint Marks in Venice.
This is a romantic spot for 3 good reasons:
- The amazing white Sacré-Coeur Basilica
- Stunning view from top of the hill
- The atmosphere of Montmartre hill, where in the mornings there is a true village atmosphere.
Just stroll along the narrow cobblestone streets, search out little secret places, typical cafés and restaurants, working painters…
Favourite time to go: any time, but preferably weekdays since it may be overcrowded on week-ends.
