Place des Vosges and Victor Hugo House
Walk down Saint-Antoine Street around three hundred meters towards Bastille square. Turn left in “rue de Birague”. Here you are !
The Place des Vosges is one of the oldest squares. 39 red stones houses
with ground floor arcades surround the square and the central garden.
Just a personal point of view: it’s the most beautiful place of Paris!
The Place des Vosges has one major house: the home of Victor
Hugo, the famous author of great masterpieces such as Les
Misérables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. You can visit his home and
learn a lot about his life and his work.

A very beautiful view onto the square from Victor Hugo House 2nd floor.
Victor Hugo House is free of charge,
It's usually open everyday except Monday, from 10:00am to 7:45pm

Rue des Francs Bourgeois

Rue des Francs Bourgeois runs from Place des Vosges.
It’s
the favourite shopping street of the area, thanks to many eclectic and
creative shops!
It offers a great mix of fashion, chic boutiques and home design. Open on Sundays!

Place du marché Sainte-Catherine
From Saint-Paul station, walk down Saint-Antoine
Street around one hundred meters towards Bastille Square, and turn left onto “rue Caron”. Here you are !
The square is pedestrian only, very quiet and so romantic.
It's like a secret place for lovers…
It has plenty of little restaurants with colourful terraces.
Enjoy the cheerful atmosphere by night !

Le Marais by night
Between “Rue vieille du temple” and “Rue du temple”, it’s the
area to have a drink by night.
It’s not only a gay scene, but also a
cosmopolitan area where you’ll find tons of great bars and restaurants
for everyone.
